Chance Browne was born in New York City in 1948. He grew up in New Jersey and Connecticut, learning about art from his father, Dik Browne, and everything else from his mother, Joan.
He studied painting with Vincent Campanella at Park College in Missouri and attended the School of Visual Arts in NYC. Early art jobs included drawing Flintstones comic books and assisting his father on the “Hi and Lois” and “Hagar the Horrible” comic strips. Pursuing a musical career led him to Vermont where he created album covers and promotional materials for Philo Records.
Chance relocated to Florida in the early 80s to work with his father and brother Chris in the family cartoon business. In the 90s he moved back to Connecticut with his wife Debra and 3 daughters Rachel, Robin and Zoë. He has continued to paint and produce three dimensional art while enjoying life as a Family Man.
